native restoration fund projects

With over 200 megawatts of power contracts signed—and more in negotiation—Vulcan Power Company is committed to supporting the Native Restoration Fund by donating a portion of net operating profit for the duration of the power contracts.  At least one half of the fund is designated for the restoration of native plants and lands in project regions, with the remaining funds allocated to restoring the human condition that is often neglected in rural areas.

This progressive restoration program is supported by Vulcan Power's Environmental Policy Consultant, Sandy Lonsdale. Sandy has a long conservation history working with the Sierra Club and other organizations, and has extensive knowledge of the forest and range environment.

Ongoing Native Restoration Fund programs include: $20,000 for Shasta Indian Nation program seeking Federal re-recognition; and funding for a local native plant park in Weed, CA.
